In a collaboration with Tessy Plastics and Blue Horseshoe, IQMS has developed its Advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS) software, a rule-based directed pick-up and put-away distribution system designed to reduce labor and save time. Wave Management provides task interleaving tools that replace “deadhead trips” with “milk runs” for JIT pickup, the company says. Users can schedule one dock or two dozen based on pick tickets or expected receipts with the Dock Scheduler and Staging graphical calendar display feature. Expected receipts can be managed based on vender ASN information or PO releases. The Slotting Optimization feature enables users to assign inventory classes to items and then store them in the most optimal locations in the warehouse based on speed of movement. LIFO, FEFO and FIFO options can reduce out-of-stock and expired materials or parts. Advanced WMS is said to rival other Tier 1 WMS programs.
The WMS package is native to the IQMS ERP solution and is compatible with EnterpriseIQ 2014.2 or subsequent versions. According to the company, this integration adds the benefits of business-wide traceability, accountability and efficiency.
