AIMS Metrology Shifts Production to Aid Health Providers
In response to the coronavirus pandemic, AIMS is shifting its machining and metrology capabilities to the manufacture of medical parts.

AIMS Metrology, a Dayton, Ohio-based manufacturer of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), announced it is making its design, engineering, rapid prototyping, machine tool capacity, and inspection and measurement capabilities available to produce parts needed to support healthcare providers during the coronavirus pandemic.
Able to produce, measure and inspect parts in sizes ranging to 10" × 10", AIMS is taking advantage of its ability to make components for medical equipment such as ventilators, face shields, respirators and other safety equipment.
“We are taking the necessary steps to protect the health and safety of our employees and families while continuing to provide service and support to customers,” says President Dave Delph. “Our team also excels at thinking outside the box, so we have committed our technology experts, manufacturing capacity and five-axis quality measurement and inspection equipment to adapt to and participate in the effort to contribute to the needs of medical communities across the country.”
