C.R. Onsrud (Troutman, North Carolina) has added The Robert E. Morris Co. (REMCO; Windsor, Connecticut) to its network of distributors. REMCO supplies CNC machine tools and customer service to precision parts manufacturers in New England, Northern New Jersey and Eastern New York.

Onsrud Regional Sales Manager Ken Stissel says that the company brings a wealth of application engineering and process expertise to the needs of its clients. “By adding the high-quality, large format CNC machinery that Onsrud produces to the other brands it carries—most notably, Okuma—The Robert E. Morris Co. offers a complete spectrum of CNC machinery, from routers through heavy machining mills and turning centers.”

“Aerospace is a primary market we have been focused on for a number of years, hence this is a big step in expanding our brand recognition in—and gaining our share of—that arena,” says Matt Jenkins, Onsrud marketing director. “The companies and industries REMCO has long-standing relationships with are in key areas we’ve been specifically targeting for growth.”

Director of Business Development Jeff Onsrud adds that the company is also focusing on diversification and specialty products for composites, aluminum and other emerging markets.
