Haimer to Host Open House at North American Headquarters

Haimer will be opening the doors to its North American headquarters May 8-10, 2018. The open house will include industry speakers, live demos and presentations, and networking opportunities, as well as the North American premiere of new tooling technologies. The theme is “Explore Industry 4.0,” and the company will showcase products that enable enhanced data communication and collection.
The panel of speakers includes Patrick Curry, president of , who will report on how the company used balance to improve product quality while simultaneously reducing costs; Steve Kline, chief data officer at , who will present his insights on where the economy (especially the metalworking industry) may be headed; and a representative from , who will describe how the company has implemented Industry 4.0 into its everyday manufacturing operations to save time and enhance quality for customers.
An Industry 4.0 integration demo will highlight technology that can provide process security, save time and ensure machining success. The demonstration will feature a comparison of data transfer methods that will help to prove the benefits of connecting a shop through post processes or RFID technology.
The company will also highlight products like its Power Clamp i4.0 series, which is designed to make shrinking easier and includes network communication and tool scanning capabilities; its Microset line of tool presetters, which ranges from entry-level machines for low-volume users to fully automated presetting with incorporated shrink-fit technology; and its shrink-type and Duo-Lock collets, which are compatible with ER collet chucks ranging from ER 16 to ER 32 with multiple collet length configurations.
The company will also introduce new tool geometries for its Power Mill and Duo-Lock offerings, including designs for aluminum and mold steels, as well as Basic Mill end mills, which are suited for roughing, finishing and drilling.
