Mazak Corp. has announced the opening of a Technical Center in Fremont, California. The facility will serve manufacturers in the San Francisco Bay area as well as those in Northern California and portions of Nevada. The 10,000-square-foot Technical Center will open and be fully operational in early 2019 and will provide localized training, technical and applications support, space for system runoffs, and opportunities to collaborate with multiple suppliers for the development of project solutions.

Mazak’s Technical Centers work in unison with the company’s network of Regional Technology Centers to meet customer demands for technical and applications support. All of the facilities provide customers with a place to learn about and implement the latest production strategies and manufacturing technologies, such as Mazak’s hybrid multitasking Palletech automated cells and full five-axis machining.

The Fremont facility will serve as a development lab with a focus in hybrid applications, material processing and advancements in digital applications by partnering with companies seeking global solutions in manufacturing. It will have a designated space for conferences, events and co-presentations with Mazak and other suppliers. Education and training will be emphasized and the center will include a room for machine tool demonstrations. The facility’s staff will consist of application engineers as well as service technicians and sales support team.
