, a mold builder in Columbus, Indiana, is the first U.S. user of ’s new screening technology, which is said to detect viral infection prior to the onset of symptoms. The system uses infrared imaging and computer algorithms to produce a thermal scan of a person’s face. According to Viral Sign Inc., the scan can identify temperature patterns consistent with pre-symptomatic influenza-like illness, including the coronavirus.
