United Grinding Names Regional Sales Managers
Michael Hilbert and Doug Smith will provide support to customers in the Central and Southeast regions, respectively.

United Grinding North America (Miamisburg, Ohio) has appointed two regional sales managers to strengthen applications, service and sales support for the company’s cylindrical grinding products. Michael Hilbert now supports customers in the Central region, while Doug Smith supports customers in the Southeast region.
Mr. Hilbert, whose territory includes North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Texas, Northern Illinois and Northern Indiana, brings substantial grinding industry experience to his role as regional sales manager. He has been employed by the company since 2011 and has held positions with Professional Tool Grinding Inc., Walter Grinders Inc., and Riverside Tool and Carbide.
Mr. Smith also joins the team with extensive experience in the industrial manufacturing industry. He previously held positions with Bahmueller Technologies Inc., PurePower Technologies, Continental Automotive, Siemens-Navistar and Bosch. His territory includes Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
In their new roles, Mr. Hilbert and Mr. Smith will help customers meet challenges with cylindrical grinding products from the Studer, Schaudt and Mikrosa product lines. Their customers include automotive and aerospace OEMs as well as Tier 1 suppliers, bearing manufacturers, job shops, tool and die shops, moldmakers, and other precision manufacturers. The two will provide guidance, technology and training to customers and distribution partners throughout their regions.
