Walter USA LLC (Waukesha, Wisconsin) has appointed Kurt Ludeking Director of Marketing for its World West region. The announcement was made by Muff Tanriverdi, president World West region. The World West Region comprises all the Americas as well as the United Kingdom.
Mr. Ludeking currently is the U.S. product manager for Walter turning and indexable drilling products. In his new position, he will be responsible for all aspects of marketing in the World West Region including strategic marketing planning, marketing communication, regional product management, pricing and market analysis. He will report directly to Muff Tanriverdi, president of the World West region, with functional reporting to Thomas Veeser, vice president of global marketing.
After completing his BSE in Materials Engineering at the University of Michigan, Mr. Ludeking began his career in carbide manufacturing engineering at Valenite. He also completed his Master of Science in Metallurgical Engineering as he continued his career as process engineering manager, R&D manager and then product management. He joined Walter in 2010 as turning product manager and has since worked closely with sales in the United States and Canada, the company’s global product management and marketing organization, and the Walter Multiply training function to provide product training for distributors and end users.
