Kisters’ 2014.1 version of its 3DViewStation software features an updated user interface, high-performance 3D viewing capabilities and Digital MockUp (DMU), as well as CAD importers for Catia, NX, Creo, SolidWorks, JT, 3D-PDF and STEP. It also includes tools to view, analyze and communicate with 3D data such as STEP, JT or 3D-PDF.
The updated program ships with an Office 2013 interface. Catia 2D drawing support has been added, so drawings as well as 3D parts or assemblies can be printed, even on large format printing devices. A new undo function means that selections, color changes, movements and dimensions can be undone if a user makes a mistake.
Other features include 3D-PDF export using templates, 3DVSXML read and write, SVG section curves exportation capabilities, more methods to create coordinate systems, a compare function for assemblies and a single-key full-screen mode.
