Zoller’s 3dCheck five-axis CNC measurement machine enables fully automatic measurement and evaluation of current standard geometries of round tools. Workpiece alignment and determination of significant geometric characteristics are performed automatically, along with positioning of the transmitted light image processing to the 3D sensor. A measuring plan filed for the tool via the graphic "pilot" interface performs 3D digitalization of the workpiece, which is then evaluated automatically. Topographic target and actual comparison and optional cross sections enable complete analysis of the workpiece at a glance. Data can be exported in a standardized format for further processing in CAD or other 3D analysis applications.
According to Zoller, the measurement machine's compact design was developed specifically for the 3D digitalization application field and enables complete workpiece digitalization from different sensor perspectives. The digitalizations are fed back automatically into a uniform workpiece coordinate system without requiring the elaborate use of reference measuring points or the mechanical mounting of backdrops. Universal machine mechanics ensure optimal positioning of the measuring sensor in relation to the workpiece surface, while the universal toolholding fixture provides high-precision workpiece clamping.
