Vektek offers TuffLink 360, an adjustable link clamp designed to for fixtures with difficult-to-reach clamping points. Designed with a rotary lug, the product provides 360 degrees of lever positioning around an independent mounting flange. Fixture builders are no longer restricted to just two or three position points that may not meet their application or operational requirements, the company says. The product is available in 5,000-psi, 350-bar and 7-MPa product lines.
The product is said to ease fixture design and the implementation of hinge clamps. It maintains symmetric loading on levers, pivots and pins to enhance reliability and extend service life.
The rotary lug is designed to simplify drill passage planning and design while increasing flexibility and control when building complex fixtures. Given that plumbing and pipe routing are independent of the lever-positioning feature, optimal positioning is a matter of a rotational nudge, the company says. If clamping needs are outside the clamp centerline, simply rotate the rotary lug and lever. Additionally, the rotary lug eases last-minute adjustments to workpiece design or casting variations.
