is showcasing the T-A Pro replaceable insert drill. With a diameter range of 0.3739"-1.8820" (9.50-47.80 mm), T-A Pro is said to provide precision machinists with the consistency of a spade drill with the penetration rates of a high performance drill.
The T-A Pro line is available in steel (P), cast iron (K), nonferrous (N), stainless steel (M) and high-speed steel substrate (X). The point on these inserts also helps to center and guide the tool through the cut, producing well-positioned holes for shorter applications and a robust design at greater drill depths for longer holes.
Allied Machine says T-A Pro is designed to provide extended tool life even in the toughest applications, consistently creating quality holes and delivering streamlined chip evacuation. While the increased flute area aids in chip evacuation and maintains a strong cross-sectional core for a stable drilling operation, the coolant outlet configuration specifically targets and improves coolant flow in order to keep the cutting edge lubricated, minimize heat and reduce the risk of a built-up edge.
