Alberti’s TH line of angle heads, available from Koma Precision, are designed for aerospace part manufacturing. Without having to make changes to the installation, users can run the angle heads with or without coolant.
The casting is made of GS 600 stabilized spheroidal cast iron that optimizes tool performance, increasing thermal stability and rigidity compared to materials such as steel or aluminum. The spindles plus arbor are made from one solid piece of hardened steel that increases resistance to bending stress by 25 percent, according to the company. This also enables the tools to reach higher rpm without vibrations, thus resulting in higher speed and precision. Angular contact bearings maintain high concentricity and stability.
