Lagun Engineering Solution’s software app, incorporated on Zayer milling machines, is designed to increase productivity and machining efficiency. The app enables the machines to capture data of the machining process and send reports to mobile devices, tablets or personal computers. This data can be exported into tables and connected to management tools.
Analysis is performed during the continuous gathering of data while the machine is operating. The app is said to support operators and decision making by providing reports such as productivity (machine uptime) and modes of use; energy consumption; and machining performance. According to the company, this technology gives operators a solution in which the main machining variables can be displayed and analyzed directly on and by the path of the tool.
The app not only displays the alarm history through the PLC, but also analyzes historical data to generate insights and predictions. For example, it can determine the future date for grease or lubrication, axis tuning, machine leveling, and so on. The technology can detect deviations from the normal behavior of the tool path, hydraulic unit, main motor and possible overall malfunctions. Other variables or processes that can be monitored for analysis include line program information, each axis position, rotational speed of each motor and head, motor load of each axis and head, following error of each axis and head, hydraulic system conditions, PLC errors, operation mode, tool utilization, all motor temperatures, distance traveled by each axis after the last grease application, and axis position or deviation.
