The software also offers built-in product data management (rename, move, copy/paste), and data is shared and secured transparently. It also includes FreeShape, which enables users to edit imported parts without a history tree.
The software offers a “toleranced” part function, which generates parts ready to be manufactured from the initial part without completely redesigning it. By taking manufacturing imperatives, such as constraints, into account from the beginning, the software reduces time and repeat data entry. Not only can the software apply the correct tolerances to parts designed with TopSolid, but the FreeShape function also allows it to manage tolerances for imported parts designed using another CAD software.
The software enables operators to manage approval cycles when a change happens during any stage throughout the lifecycle. These functions are directly integrated and completely transparent to the user, eliminating the need to work with an external workflow application. It offers facilitated automation of the approval process, which reduces the risk of errors and improves efficiency and communication, the company says.
Improved draft creation includes Cartesian dimensions, automatic dimensions and annotations, and table and split-table creation. The software also offers new piping functions, including the ability to manage multiple unfolding.
