Delcam has introduced a direct link from its PowerMill CAM system to CGTech’s Vericut software for machine tool simulation and feed rate optimization. Vericut gives independent verification of tool paths generated by PowerMill, providing an added level of security in the case of operator errors in generating or post-processing tool paths, the company says. The link will also give PowerMill users access to the simulation package’s machine tool models, the majority of which have been developed in association with machine tool manufacturers.
