The All-Okuma wheel cell for cutting and drilling aluminum wheels is designed to increase productivity and efficiency while minimizing downtime. The cell consists of an aluminum drilling machine, two CNC lathes, a control and a FANUC robot.
The Okuma MB56VA-AW aluminum wheel drilling machine is designed to meet the high speed requirements of aluminum wheel drilling and milling and features an integrated high speed trunnion table for full four-axis machining capabilities. Two Okuma CNC lathes with quick-changeover workholding are included, in sizes ranging from 16" to 24". All three machines feature the THINC-OSP open-architecture control with real-time monitoring, alarm notifications, cell monitoring and performance reporting functions. The control also enables integration with third-party applications. A FANUC robot with vision technology enables fixtureless locating and orientation, eliminating manned verification and offset probing.
