Norton | Saint-Gobain Abrasives’ Century45 centerless bond platform features chemistry designed to improve grain retention in the wheel. According to the company, better grain retention means wheels are constructed with more porosity for a given hardness. This results in wheels having a hard grade with the performance of a softer grade. The wheels are ideal for grinding, fastener and tool grinding, automotive or aerospace components as well as bearing applications.
The Century45 wheels are available with ceramic, aluminum oxide, silicon carbide grain and abrasive blends to maximize grinding safety and efficiency. The wheels are designed to reduce cycle times, improve stock removal and increase wheel life.
