MachiningCloud delivers cutting tool manufacturers’ product knowledge and data directly to desktops, streamlining cutting tool selection, CNC programming, simulation and shopfloor operations. This availability eliminates steps needed to locate this information while also removing the burden of manually typing tooling data into CAD/CAM software.
Users can search, select and share cutting tools for jobs; build assemblies; and export the tooling data to CAD/CAM, ERP and other shop software. Cutting tool data includes 2D drawings and 3D models of both items and assemblies, complete descriptive data for CAD/CAM, and cutting speeds and feeds for CNC machines. According to the company, cutting tool product data, including global and local stock availability, is always up-to-date because it is stored on the cloud, optimizing tool choices. MachiningCloud’s modularity makes it flexible enough to fit into workflows for engineering, purchasing and operations with workgroups on the cloud, or download product data for items or entire catalogs for use in local software.
Simple installation and operation with all hosting services, databases, servers and catalogs is provided as a cloud service.
