Knuth Machine Tools鈥 RSM series of CNC cylindrical grinding machines now combine the exclusive GPlus 450 CNC technology with high-quality, rigid construction. The company says this ensures maximum precision and efficient production. The multi-functional ID/OD machine is designed for quality and high flexibility in handling continuous and precise grinding cycles. Featuring strict alignment accuracy from the spindle head and solid supports, the machine ensures ideal machining results at various grinding positions, the company says. Available with in-process measurement, this series also includes separate handwheels to enable manual grinding on the X and Y axes.
With a maximum grinding diameter of 12.5", a maximum center distance of 80" and infinitely variable spindle speeds, the series provides a number of grinding cycles. These include oscillating cylindrical, face, multiple-plunge cut plane, multiple-plunge cut linear, plain shoulder and linear shoulders. Enhanced with a hydraulic tailstock that operates via a foot pedal, the series incorporates a maximum 12" 脳 1.5" 脳 5" wheel diameter, preloaded ballscrews and automatic central lubrication for exact production or single-part operations.
