has introduced a dual-gripper, carbon-fiber end effector for collaborative robots in the metal fabrication industry. Incorporating carbon fiber’s high strength-to-weight ratio into the end effector’s design is said to enable greater payloads, increase speed on the production line, reduce motor and actuator loads, and increase heat resistance.
The primary feature of this carbon fiber end effector is a quick-disconnect interface hub that is said to enable standard metal or wood finishing tools to be coupled to a robot within minutes. The dual-mounting design enables two different sets of grippers to be affixed to the end effector, increasing productivity of the robot movements.Related Content
