Sodick's SL400G rigid, linear-motor-driven wire EDM incorporates a Fixed Jet (FJ) automatic wire threader, said to offer accurate and reliable threading rate for both submerged and non-submerged threading. The fully enclosed EDM incorporates a wire tension servo function that controls and stabilizes the wire tension during machining to further promote accuracy. X-, Y- and Z-axis travels measure 15.75" × 11.81" × 9.84". The EDM features the company’s Smart Pulse Wire control with a Smart Pulse Generator for improved cutting speed.
