Oelheld U.S. is expanding its SintoGrind series with the IG 540. The grinding oil is designed for flute grinding, profile grinding and, outside and inside diameter grinding. The oil works on a variety of materials including tungsten carbide, high speed steel, polycrystalline diamond, cubic boron nitride, cermet and ceramics.
The oil protects against cobalt leaching, is low foaming and it provides a high-quality surface finish, the company says. Other features include improved aging; flushing and cooling properties; low evaporation and misting; and a high flash point.
