SW North America’s automated multi-spindle five-axis CNC machining center, the BA W02-22i, features an integrated robot for loading and unloading, plus vertical pallet storage for workpiece blanks and finished parts.
Multiple machining centers are capable of being combined to form plug-and-play manufacturing cells. The robot is mounted overhead for freedom of movement, and the pallet storage unit is set off to the side, enabling manual loading and unloading, if required. Mechanical connections—including coolant return, chip conveyor and electrical installation—are made before the cell leaves the factory. The machines are offered in both linear drive and ballscrew design to accommodate the machining of various materials.
