Carr Lane’s CL5 is a quick-change, five-axis workholding system consisting of three components: a subplate, a Quintus riser, and top tooling made up of a vise or fixture plate. The subplate transforms a T-slot table into a modular fixturing plate to provide flexible clamping and location of other tooling and/or fixtures. Each plate has built-in clamping and locating for risers, enabling quick and accurate setups. The Quintus quick-change riser is designed to get the workpiece up from the machine table for five-side access. A range of fixture plates and vises can be mounted on top of the riser. Vises are available in various styles, including concentric. A range of jaw types and sizes accommodate a variety of parts.
