UGS says the latest release of its geometric modeling component software, Parasolid version 18.1, includes customer-driven enhancements that increase automation and ease of use. To allow greater support for design intent, the software features new modeling functionality for advanced blending, general sweeping and complex tapering. To boost end-user productivity, it features increased automation in offsetting, patterning and imprinting. Interoperability support includes enhanced continuity in geometry construction as well as improved tolerant modeling and model interrogation. Also included are new options for rendering, previewing and tracking.
