Oelheld’s ToolGrind TC-X 620 grinding oil is designed to have good viscosity and temperature characteristics, along with low misting and aromatic content. According to the company, the oil performs well under extreme pressure. Its active agents facilitate cooling, wetting and lubrication. It does not contain chlorine, silicone or heavy metals and is non- toxic.
The oil promotes clean grinding wheels, low grinding temperatures and lessens wheel wear. It reduces workpiece corrosion and is suitable for most filtration systems, the company says. The oil is designed for most high-speed grinding operations, including profile, groove and surface grinding with cubic boron nitride (CBN), diamond or silicon carbide wheels. It can be used with tungsten carbide, high strength steel (HSS), polycrystalline diamond (PCD), cBN, cermet and ceramics.
The oil can protect against cobalt leaching. The low-foaming oil is designed to have good flushing and cooling properties and low-evaporation features. According to the company, itt has a high flash point, ages well and contributes to good surface finish.
