Allied Machine’s GEN3SYS XT high-penetration drill combines substrate, geometry and AM300 coating to increase penetration rates and tool life. Inserts are available in four geometries: standard, austenitic stainless steel (AS), cast iron (CI) and low rake (LR). The holders are offered with a cylindrical shank or standard-flange flat shank. Diameters range from 11 to 35 mm, and drill-to depth lengths of stub, 3×, 5× and 7× are available. The inserts utilize the current GEN3SYS holders so no new tooling is required.
