Enshu’s JE60G high speed, 400-mm HMC features 23.6" (600-mm) travels and a Fanuc 32iM advanced CNC. The standard, dual-contact 40-taper spindle achieves speeds of 15,000 rpm in 1.83 seconds and develops 24.8 hp at 1,061 rpm. The machine also features rapid taverse rates of 3,543 ipm.
Featuring a trough-bed design for optimum chip removal, the center also features a direct-drive B axis capable of indexing 90 degrees in 0.6 sec. The machine also uses cross-roller LM guides and an offset X axis. All ballscrews are drilled and chilled for thermal stability. The ballscrews and the spindle are temperature controlled to within ±1°C of ambient temperature.
The standard, chain-type ATC and tool carousel can accommodate 60 tools. Other offerings include 40-, 120- and 300-tool-capacity magazines. An array of pallet-system configurations includes both a simple pallet pool and multiple-machine-capable, two- and three-level FMS pallet systems.
Quick disconnect couplings are featured on all major electrical and pneumatic components, providing easier maintenance and lowering the overall mean time to repair, the company says.Â
