Mitsubishi Electric Automation’s GOT2000 series human-machine interface (HMI) monitors and controls machine components via a graphical touchscreen designed to optimize operator control and monitoring of device and line status. Operators are able to interact with the HMI using gestures and multi-touch actions similar to those used with a tablet or smartphone. The graphic operation terminal provides options for virtually all types of industrial automation applications. For example, large screens ranging to 15" are available for automotive and other large facilities, while screens as small as 3.7" provide flexible options for a range of machine sizes.
The HMI is intended to be a gateway to industrial automation devices including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives, servos and temperature controllers. It can also integrate with wireless LAN communications, enabling flexible system designs. Other features include expansion slots for optional communication and dual processors. A flexible SD-card drive provides storage as well as an interface to quickly load programs, operating systems and PLC backup files. Additionally, remote access to the HMI and connected equipment eases maintenance and training. The HMI can provide user access and logging information and store work instructions from standard Adobe, Word and PowerPoint documents, as well as video recordings.
