Mazak will exhibit its various Smooth Technology products in addition to live cutting demonstrations on its VC-500 AM hybrid additive/subtractive multitasking machining center and its small-footprint Integrex i-100 Bartac-S machine. The VC-500 combines full five-axis capability and additive technology to revolutionize product design, reduce time to market and cut R&D costs by building part features to near-net shape up to 10 times faster than other comparable systems, according to the company.
The Integrex machine employs two turning spindles and a milling spindle for full five-axis machining and Done-In-One operations. The machine’s Intelligent Bar Loader System automatically feeds out material the required distance from the chuck and minimizes the bar remnant.
