Vero’s high-end injection molding simulation software has been fully integrated with surface and solid modeling tools; comprehensive two- to five-axis machining strategies with high speed routines; two- and four-axis EDM; and a mold design package.
Visi Flow 17 injection molding simulation software uses a custom hexahedral hybrid mesh technology to quickly provide accurate results, the company says. The update includes a CAD capability that is said to make evaluating design changes easier and faster. The software is also integrated with Visi Mold and Visi Machining to facilitate faster transfer to manufacturing.
According to the company, complete software integration allows analysis to be run inside the user-friendly Visi interface. Toolmakers can navigate seamlessly through Visi Modeling, Visi Mold, Visi Flow and Visi Machining. Visi Flow can be tailored to suit the requirements of individual customers.
Model preparation and analysis time have been reduced to minutes in this software update, the company says. Features include Visi Flow mesh wizard, a thickness sphere algorithm and feature recognition for runners and cooling channels. Along with gas-assist, sequential and co-injection molding simulations, the software offers simulation of overmolding and crosslinking polymers, including liquid silicone rubbers.
