Tech-Cool 35052 is a premium-grade, chlorine EP-activated, semi-synthetic metalworking fluid formulated for titanium (Ti6Al14V), high nickel alloys (including Inconel and Hastalloy), aluminum alloys (cast and wrought) and ferrous substrates. According to the company, it is approved to Boeing’s BAC 5008 specification. The fluid’s blend of chlorinated EP ingredients is said to ensure lubricity, corrosion resistance and “cleanability” in a range of metalworking applications. The product’s emulsion stability promotes clean, residue-free operation despite difficult water conditions.
Without the use of biocides, DCHA or other secondary amines, the product’s bio-resistant characteristics provide an environment that is not conducive to microbial growth. It resists foaming even in foam-generating operations such as creep-feed grinding. According to the company, field tests have confirmed reduced consumption rates, extended sump life and significantly lower mist levels versus traditional emulsion chemistries.
