Gosiger High Volume, in collaboration with Shimada, offers the ISM B6-27 hybrid multi-spindle bar machine, incorporating integrated spindle motors into Shimada’s No-Cam technology, and combining hydraulic slides for roughing and CNC slides for finishing. The multi-spindle machine is designed to provide many of the advantages of the full CNC machines, the supplier says.
The machine has six integrated spindle motors that enable independent control of rpm by program. Other programming capabilities include spindle stopping, C-axis positioning and constant surface footage. The initial hydraulic slides enable simple roughing operations while the CNC slides provide smooth and accurate single-point finishing. The machine is equipped with the FANUC 30i control and servomotor package for reliability and improved performance. A variety of attachments and extensions are also available.
