Arno-Rouse has incorporated existing cut-off support blades into a gang tooling concept. Designed for screw machines, the tooling features 0.625" round shanks and 90-degree angles in both right- and left-hand configurations. The tooling can cut off barstock ranging to 1.180" (30 mm) in diameter with a 2- or 3-mm-wide insert. According to the company, if a support blade breaks, it can be replaced easily and quickly—the holder doesn’t need to be taken out of the machine to replace the support blade or insert. The tooling is available in six carbide insert grades and various geometries for virtually all materials, the company says.
