Yaskawa Motoman’s Kinetiq Teaching system is designed to enable job shops to easily implement robotic welding with simplified teaching and reduced setup times by enabling current skilled welders to automate welding jobs. Using the platform, a welder can move the robot welder by hand and intuitively program welding paths using a dedicated, user-friendly teach pendant interface. No in-depth programming knowledge is required, the company says. An icon-based menu is presented on the teach pendant’s color touchscreen to define the task.
