The Eriez SumpDoc is an all-in-one portable fluid recycling system designed to completely filter and rejuvenate metalworking fluids in a machine tool sump without interrupting production. The system enables shop personnel to position the unit alongside the machine tool sump and treat the existing coolant while continuing to operate the machine tool.
The portable system consists of hoses, piping and valves to draw the coolant from sump, filter it and return it to the sump to create “scrubbing” turbulence; a continuous-flow tramp oil coalesce; a high-speed centrifuge for removing emulsified oils; a pleated bag filter for removing solids; an air-operated diaphragm pump to draw coolant from sump and pump it through system; a coolant make-up system with proportioner and onboard coolant concentrate tank; simple electrical controls with operator dashboard; five-gallon onboard containers for tramp oil, centrifuge backwash and coolant concentrate/chemical storage; a Microzone generator for microbiological treatment; and a 110-V single-phase control voltage.
