PartMaker Inc., a division of Delcam Plc., demonstrates its PartMaker 2015 software for programming CNC mills, lathes, wire EDMs, turn-mill centers and Swiss-type lathes. Included in the release is a new approach to CAM postprocessing for multi-axis turn-mill centers and Swiss-type lathes, and support for turret-based Swiss-type lathes with programmable B-axis live tooling. Other features include improved support for vertical mill-turns, enhanced milling and turning functionality, and improvements in the software’s knowledge-based technology for storing optimal feeds and speeds for additional tools, the company says. The software also offers the ability to generate a reference guide command manual for a given multi-axis lathe.
The company also offers its PartMaker Multi-Channel Viewer PC application. The free app for users of multi-axis turn-mill centers and Swiss-type lathes enables viewing of multi-channel NC programs side by side for virtually any multi-channel machine/control combination.
