The MCC series of milling machines from Burkhardt+Weber offers cutting performance along with a small footprint, according to the company. The series is available in sizes that support pallets as large as 1,000 × 1,000 mm (39.4" × 29.4") and payloads as heavy as 2,500 kg (5,500 lb). With XYZ-axis travels measuring up to 1,400 × 1,200 × 1,600 m (55.1" × 47.2 × 63.0"), the largest model is 3500 mm (138") wide. The series is suitable for integration into automation systems and offers accuracy, high stiffness and reliability.

A range of spindles for four- and five-axis configurations offer as much as 1,400 Nm and 41 kW (959 foot-pounds, 55 hp) of cutting power and speeds as fast as 10,000 rpm.  The five-axis model features a rigid, A-axis concept with a 30-kW (40-hp) motor spindle that has a large swivel range.

Tool load capacity is 40 kg (88 lbs). It can employ cutting tools as long as 650 mm (25.6") without reducing swing size. Attachment heads can be clamped against the spindle nose by a precision head clamping system and loaded automatically via the company’s toolchanger unit.

The series is designed to be easy to link and is ready for digital networking in self-organizing production processes. Machines can be fully integrated into MES infrastructure.
