The S6 servo drive from KEB America is suitable for servo applications requiring real-time communication, SIL3 safety functionality or integrated brake control. The drive is designed to work with induction, PM servo, linear or torque motors and manages the velocity, position, torque and homing of the motor.
Real-time Ethernet interfaces facilitate integration into existing installations. Multiple fieldbus connection options, including Profinet, are available. The drive has CANopen on board, a 2-channel multi-encoder interface, a diagnostics interface and a drive profile that accords with the CiA 402/61800-7 standard.
A dual-channel interface enables configuration as input or output. Supported formats include incremental TTL/HTL, Resolver, EnDAT 2.1, EnDAT 2.2, Hiperface and BiSS. The drive features Safe Torque Off and Safe Brake Control functionality. Additional safety options meeting the ISO 13849 standard are available, including SS1, SS2, SOS, SLS, SLP, SLI, SDI and SSM. For applications in which brake control is necessary, the drive includes integrated brake output rated for 2 Amps at 24 VDC. A 50-mm-wide profile makes the drive suitable for DIN rail mounting.
