Single Controller Manages Four Robots
Motoman鈥檚 NX100 robot controller with a Windows CE programming pendant and a color touchscreen is designed to easily handle multiple tasks. High speed processing capability allows it to control as many as four robots for a total of 36 axes (including robots and external axes). It also features I/O devices from a single point of control.

The system-level cell/robot controller is said to provide cost savings, decrease system complexity and improve overall reliability. It features an integrated 鈥渟oft PLC鈥 with increased I/O, faster scan time, support for large ladder programs and a graphical ladder editor that runs on the pendant. The controller connects to a variety of fieldbus networks, including DeviceNet, ProfiBus, EtherNet/IP and more.
The 鈥渇ull鈥 control unit provides cost savings by eliminating the need for separate PLCs, the company says. The controller is available in compact DRC, TRC and QRC configurations, all of which provide the same dual-, triple- and quad-robot control capabilities in a small cabinet.
