Espon Robots’ C3-V six-axis robot is resistant to vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VHP) gas, an aggressive chemical used in aseptic manufacturing environments. The robot is well-suited for medical device, pharmaceutical and life science applications where this gas is present.
The robot’s SlimLine body and compact wrist design enable installation in sealed environments, such as inside an isolator. The robot features IP67-grade water/dust proofing and can be cleaned and sterilized with aggressive chemical solutions or high-temperature VHP and steam. Additionally, the robot can be used as a handling device for cleaning fixtures and components in VHP misting areas. The robot can present fixtures from many angles to ensure that no areas are missed during the sterilization process.
The C3-V robot is available with the company’s PC-based RC620+ controller or Micro PowerDrive RC180 controller. Both controllers feature Epson’s RC+ controls software and fully integrated visual guidance, Profibus and DeviceNet options.
