Renishaw’s FixtureBuilder is a 3D modeling software package designed to enable the off-line creation and documentation of fixturing setups. The software is said to improve productivity in the use of the company’s fixtures and other inspection equipment. For ease of use, the software offers clear and organized component libraries, intelligent drag-and-drop functionality, quick manipulation of parts, and a constraint mechanism. User experience is further enhanced by the software’s full CAD compatibility and the availability of custom libraries, the company says.
The “Build it” function automates the production of work instructions and bills of materials for every fixture setup. This helps to ensure compliance with quality standards and assist with product ordering.
