Software Helps Small Manufacturers Reduce Inventory Waste
Share

Beach Access Software says users of its E-Z-MRP system do not require degrees, certification in manufacturing systems or on-site training/consultation. Designed to help small manufacturers overcome inventory waste, the software is useful for job shop and build-to-order environments as well as build-to-stock and build-to-forecast operations. The system has been rewritten with Microsoft’s Access Database Management System, a component of the Microsoft Office Suite. According to the company, this makes it compatible with a variety of third-party products.
In addition to a bill of materials processor, the MRP package includes a material planning and tracking module. This module tracks all sales orders; forecasts; work orders; purchase orders; shortages; raw materials; and finished-goods inventories. It also records an audit trail on all inventory transactions. Also included is a purchase order module for printing purchase orders.
