CGS North America will demonstrate the ability of the latest version of its CAM-Tool CAD/CAM software to machine a mold or die with minimal to no polishing. Version 11 features an added option to Z-level high-efficiency roughing that allows a side milling roughing tool path, and a new tool path also has been added that allows users to bump or box-cycle cut for finishing. In addition, a switch has been added to many tool paths to allow conventional cutting of hard materials. Ten additional coolant choices are available to accommodate additional CNC machine coolant options as well.
Version 5.1 of the CAM-Tool add-in to SolidWorks also will be available for demonstration.
