Emuge offers its line of high-performance EF-series solid carbide drills said to deliver high-quality threads, long tool life, and three to five times faster penetration rate than conventional carbide and cobalt drills. The line is intended to complement Emuge’s tap and thread mill offerings, providing a hole-making solution for tapping applications.
The EF drills feature a double-margin flute design for added stability and rounder, straighter holes. The flute construction promotes good chip evaluation, and a self-centering design enables drilling in one shot, eliminating peck cycles and pre-spot operations. The drills are made of a sub-micron-grain carbide grade for high abrasion resistance and durability. A multi-layer PVD coating resists chipping and cracking for long tool life.
A full range of drills is available in 3×D, 5×D and 8×D sizes in solid and coolant-fed designs for convenience and application versatility.
