’s Tap Magic H2OX NC is metalworking product designed to be used in automated recirculating systems such as VMCs and automatic saw systems for non-ferrous metals. According to the company, this product keeps tooling clean and cool while also providing maximum lubricity to protect and prolong the tool life.
This is accomplished by utilizing a ester as the working extreme pressure (EP) agent to promote lubricity. By eliminating common EP agents such as chlorine and sulfur, this makes the product especially effective on non-ferrous alloys, aerospace and military applications or metals that require extensive postprocessing with minimal cleaning.
The product is said to provide long sump life (anti-bacterial/fungal additives), low skin irritation, corrosion resistance and low foaming formulation.
Steco Corp. says the semi-synthetic product provides a high level of tool protection while minimizing the sticky residual left by oil-soluble products typically used to enhance tool life. Dilution can be customized to the user’s application for optimal results and sump life is exceptional due to bacterial resistance and a defoamer that minimizes air getting into the bath.
