Tungaloy’s T9225 insert grade for steel turning, part of the T9200 CVD grade series, features a thick, wear-resistant Al2O3 coating in a uniformly aligned layer; a ceramic outermost layer with greater hardness; and Tungaloy’s PremiumTec post surface treatment for stable machining.
The steel turning grade is said to be effective in a wide range of applications, ensuring long tool life and stable performance for improved productivity. The T9225 includes the -TSF, -TM and -TH chipbreakers. A total of 349 inserts are introduced in T9225.
