Applications for which the six-axis machining center is suited include orthopedic devices and surgical instruments made of specialized plastics, titanium and steel; dental heads and implants; automotive turbo charger impellers and aluminum housings; and watch parts. With the NC swivel head, users can produce milled surfaces and holes at virtually every angular position, including outer/inner contours and tapping. The company has extended the range of application possibilities by including an NC linear unit with an NC vertical turning device. According to the company, complex workpieces can be machined in one setup, without operator intervention. The XYZ axis travel range is 18" × 10.6" × 11".
