A new turning tool selection systemreduces the complexity of insert grade and top form geometry selection. The company has consolidated its turning tool line offering from 18 tool grades to 7 grades and its top form geometries from 22 to 14 grades. Over the total tooling line, for turning cast iron, steels, aluminum and high temperature alloys, there is a total of 460 items rather than the previous 1,500 plus items.
